Dear Parents and Carers,

Even though we have had challenges this term, the school community has pulled together in true Mead spirit. The strength of the school's ethos of "Proud to Belong" has truly shone through. Everyone has worked very hard, and we have had a very busy term with lots of great learning taking place.

Nursery have had a visit from a Red Double Decker bus which they loved. Reception enjoyed a visit from the Surrey firefighters and their fire engine. Year one had a great day visiting Brooklands Museum and Year 2 had an interesting visit from a Polar explorer. We all enjoyed celebrating World Book day and a visit from the poet Coral Rumble.

All of these experiences ensure that the learning for our children is engaging, exciting and hands on, and we know that children learn and remember more when this happens.

We continue to look to the future and move forward knowing that there are many exciting things to come, in particular the partnership that we will have with the BET family of schools

Thank you for your continued support, we are lucky to have such a committed and supportive parent community.

I wish you and all of your families a very happy and safe Easter.

Best wishes

Mrs Creasey

THANK YOU

            ATTENDANCE

Whole school attendance  currently stands at 93%

Covid- 19 has had a significant impact on children's attendance. It is very important that your child attends school every day unless they are unwell or there is an exceptional circumstance.

Attendance is strongly linked to how well children achieve and for this reason, the attendance of pupils is monitored closely.

Please remember that holidays are not authorised during term time, and you may be liable for a fine if the absence is 5 days or more with in a 3 month period.

The days do not need to be consecutive.
