Helping your child to communicate

  • Communication plays a vital role in young children’s early development. 

  • A strong vocabulary by age five is closely linked to better academic outcomes throughout school. Children who communicate well at five are significantly more likely to achieve strong GCSE results at 16. 

  • Spending time talking, playing, and reading with your child is essential—it supports and strengthens their communication skills.
