Thank you for your interest in our school. The Mead is a Community Infant and Nursery school for children aged from 3 – 7 years.

Surrey County Council is the admission authority for school places at The Mead Infant and Nursery School. Nursery Admissions

Admissions to our Nursery are managed by the school and not Surrey County Council. Children are eligible to join our Nursery in the September after their third birthday.

Nursery Admissions Intake for September 2024

Children who are born between 1^st September 2020 and 31^st August 2021 are eligible to join our Nursery in September 2024.

Please download our application form below and return your completed application form either by email to admissions@mead.surrey.sch.uk or to the school office. We will contact you to confirm receipt. The deadline for submitting your application is 15^th January 2024.

Nursery Admissions Intake for January 2024

We do not offer a formal January intake. A January intake will only take place if we have been unable to fill all Nursery places in our September 2023 intake. Only children who are born between 1^st September 2020 and 31^st December 2020 will be eligible to apply for this intake and would be with us in our Nursery from January 2024 – July 2025.

If you are interested in a January 2024 place, please ensure your completed September 2024 application form is returned to the school by 15^th October 2023.

In Year Nursery Admissions (September 2023 – July 2024)

Children who are born between 1^st September 2019 and 31^st August 2020 are eligible to apply for this intake.

The application deadline for this intake has now passed. However, you are still welcome to apply as a late application for any remaining places or to be added to our waiting list.

Nursery Intake for September 2023 Late Application Form

PLEASE NOTE: There is no automatic transfer from Nursery to Reception. Children attending our Nursery must apply to Surrey County Council for a Reception place at the relevant time.

School and Nursery Tours for September 2024 Entry

If your child is due to start school or nursery in September 2024 and you are interested in applying to The Mead Infant and Nursery School, please call us on 020 8393 0966 to book a place on one of our tours.

Many children who attend The Mead move on to Auriol Junior School in Year 3. We are pleased to confirm that following the tours at The Mead, you will be able to visit Auriol Junior School as well. A member of our staff will take you to Auriol Junior School once the tour at The Mead has finished.

Tours are for adults only and the tour at The Mead will last approximately one hour (please allow longer if visiting Auriol Junior School as well). Places are limited and therefore pre-booking is essential. Please be aware that tours are only for families with children due to start school or nursery in September 2024.

Please note that there are parking restrictions in place on the roads close to the school. Where possible we ask you to walk to the school, or if you need to drive, to allow time to park a short distance away and walk.
