World Book Day 2023
We’ve had a wonderful day celebrating everything about books!
We’ve had a wonderful day celebrating everything about books!
This year to celebrate Children’s Mental Health Week, the children at The Mead Infant and Nursery school all thought about the theme, ‘Let’s connect.’
The children were greeted by an intrepid Earth Explorer who invited them on an adventure to Antarctica.
Nursery spent the week preparing for our Lunar New Year Celebration.
Year R were lucky to have a professional storyteller, Rich visit.
On Wednesday 7th December, Year 2 went to Worcester Park Baptist Church.
Nursery launched into space on Friday, just like Baby Bear in the book ‘Whatever Next?’
When we started Wellie Wednesday it was sunny and quite warm!
As part of our Great Fire of London topic, children made houses out of junk modelling which replicated what the houses would have looked like in September 1666.
Ask your child about our visit from the firefighters.................
Dear Zoo… I wrote to the zoo to send me a pet.
They sent me a slithery snake and a jumpy frog!
Nursery had a hands-on experience with Gomez the carpet python and Penny tree frog after reading the story ‘Dear Zoo’. ‘Slithery, slimy and bouncy’ were just some of our new vocabulary we learnt.

Ask your child about what they found out about different cultures?
